          Broadcast Quality

For the film to broadcast it must first adhere to strict rules and guide lines and if these are not met then the film can not be broadcast. these rules involve all aspects of a film so video and audio and are as followed...

All HD programmes will be delivered on HDCamSR tapes
          1920 x 1080 at 25 frames a second  (see Section 2.1 on page 4)
90” Lineup bars and 1KHz tone at  -18dBFS.
Timecode of start of programme 10:00:00:00.
Circular countdown clock of at least 20” with details exactly as Section 4.2 on page 11.
Stereo audio on tracks 1&2. See Section 3.2 on page 9 for Surround sound.
Fade to silence at end point, end slate held in vision for further 10” after end of programme.

          Change in direction

the film I was working on was fools gold but due to my own personal views and life goals I no longer have the desire to do animation in any capacity and have only come to loath the thought of it. this isn' to say that i am disregarding the film entirely and i will still be working in somewhat backseat capacity to help with areas where i know it would be beneficial to others.

the one area i am still helping in is marketing, design and texturing and  have spent the last few months helping n them areas when i can.

these textures are of the dog and the prospector in our film and i also had done all texturing of the props though these were done at an earlier date in production.

          Marketing

for marketing the idea was to create merchandise and other promotion material so i designed a range of products to promote the film and even ordered samplers from the company PRINT VISTA. the products ranged from t-shirts, mugs, stickers and posters.

for the purpose of easy merchandise production i simplified my designs down, i went for a simpler colour pallet with no shading and a thick outlined style to give it a more innocent look.

          T-shirt design

          Mug Design
          poster design

the poster design would be the only one which would be changed as it was done at a time where we wasn't giving too much away about the film as it was in early production still and didn't have alot of material to show.

          Final words

while i have done this work and the concept, idea and story are of my creation with only the story having involvement from the group i feel i have taken this as far as i can and my time in animation has run its course. i feel the most professional thing i can do now is to pass the project over so that those who wish to pursue animation still can and are able to carry on.
